Whether you live locally or are visiting from afar, Kelowna has plenty of exciting indoor activities for you to experience — rock climbing, playgrounds, sports simulators and much more.
Fun for the young ones
If you have children under the age of 5, then Fun Bugs and Jump2It may be a wonderful way to spend a morning or afternoon. Children can explore and play in a safe environment while you enjoy a delicious cup of coffee and supervise them.
Fun Bugs is an indoor playground that only allows children 5 and under on the large, indoor playground — there is a small toddler area, a baby area, an interactive computer floor and even a bouncy castle. As much as you might want to jump into the bouncy castle, let’s leave that for the young ones to have a blast in.
From 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., Jump2It is only open to children 5 and under, and their parents of course. After 12:30 p.m., the indoor playground is open to children of all ages — there are large inflatable bouncers, exciting slides, an obstacle course and a climbing play structure for your children to experience.
Introducing children to sports at an early age can promote an active and healthy lifestyle. Our sports simulators offer a wide variety of different sports, using real sports equipment, that the whole family can enjoy — maybe you have a future NHL player or golf enthusiast next to you!
Indoor rock climbing
Climbers of all skill levels can find a challenge in Kelowna. Beginners can comfortably start learning the basics on how to properly maneuver a course, what to look for in different holds and become more accustomed to climbing. Experienced climbers can find walls that will push them to their limits.
gneiss climbing is an indoor rock climbing gym that is designed to train and push people to improve their skills. Being both a fitness facility and climbing gym, it’s a great option for anyone looking to work hard.
Beyond the Crux is another great option for those looking to test their climbing skills in an indoor facility. From single-person drop-ins to birthday parties, this facility is a great option to test your skills or compete with your friends and family.
Puzzle rooms
Over the last few years, escape rooms have become quite popular. These offer an amazing series of puzzles that participants must complete before ‘escaping’ from the room with a time limit. EXIT Kelowna is one such facility that offers thematic experiences such as The Secret Cellar, The Island, Black Ops V3.0: Biohazard and finally, and Potions. Throughout the year, the themes can change so keep your eyes peeled for new puzzles to solve.
Impulse Kelowna has other escape rooms that are sure to keep your brain working. With themes like The Pirate’s Code, The Barbershop, Merlin’s Last Quest, and The Secret Lab 2.0: The Final Chapter, you will be hard pressed to complete all of them on time.
Indoor sports
Looking for something a bit calmer? Scandia offers indoor mini golf, with a fun jungle theme, that is always a blast with friends and family. With the mini golf course inside, this is a great year-round option for when the weather just isn’t behaving.
